NORTHFIELD, Minn. — The No. 19 UW-Eau Claire women's cross country team placed second out of 18 teams at the St. Olaf Invitational, finishing with 54 team points. No. 29 St. Olaf won the 6K race with 47 points.

Bella Hooker led the Blugolds with a seventh-place finish, crossing the finish line in 22:59.3. Molly Heidorn followed closely behind in eighth at 23:00.3, while Rachel Gregorich placed ninth with a time of 23:00.7.

Brooke Marchewka added a 14th-place finish in 23:20.9, while Delilah Hedden rounded out UW-Eau Claire's top five with a 16th-place finish in 23:29.7. Lily Guenther finished 22nd in 23:42.6, and Violette Culp placed 26th with a time of 23:48.7.

The Blugolds return to action Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Running of the Cows. UW-Eau Claire will race at 10 a.m. on the Bill Huyck Championship Course in Northfield, Minn.
