OSHKOSH, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire gymnastics team posted its best score of the season on the balance beam, but dropped a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) dual at No. 1 UW-Oshkosh 193.400-187.450 on Friday. The Blugolds' top performances came on the beam and in the floor exercise in the defeat to the top-ranked Titans.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- UW-Eau Claire tallied a 48.125 on the beam, its best total of the campaign. Hareet Gehlon (Fr. - Brampton, Ontario/Silverthorn Collegiate Institute) led the Blugolds with a 9.725, which earned her second place individually in the event. That score ties for the fourth-best mark in program history.
- Meghan Dahlin (So. - Holly, Mich.) tied for fourth on the beam with a 9.650.
- Madison Daly (So. - Las Vegas, Nev./Palo Verde) was the lone participant in the all-around. She scored a 35.550, with her best score coming on the beam at 9.425.
- Kelsey Donovan (Sr. - Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard East) tied for fourth in floor exercise with a 9.625, which led the Blugolds in the event.
- UW-Eau Claire posted a 46.700 on the vault, a 45.625 on the uneven bars and a 47.000 in the floor exercise. The Titans, the three-time defending national champions, won every event and had the top individual in each event.

The Blugolds are back on the road on Friday, January 31, when they visit No. 9 UW-Stout. The WIAC dual begins at 6 p.m. in Menomonie.
