EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire gymnastics team dropped its home opener against UW-La Crosse 190.100-187.700 on Friday at the McPhee Center. The Blugolds hit some high marks on the uneven bars and balance beam to highlight their first home dual of the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED

The Eagles produced the individual winner on each apparatus, but the Blugolds had the all-around winner in Madison Daly (So. - Las Vegas, Nev./Palo Verde).
- Daly scored a 36.475 in the all-around. She was the only competitor to participate in all four events.
- Cadence Cordova (So. - Boise, Idaho/Renaissance) took third on the uneven bars with a score of 9.650. That mark is tied for the third-best score on the bars in program history.
- Meghan Dahlin (So. - Holly, Mich.) tallied a 9.725 on the balance beam to take third in the event. That tied for the fourth-best score in program history on the beam.
- Emily Leese (So. - Overland Park, Kan./Blue Valley Northwest) tied for second in the floor exercise with a 9.625.
- Amy Fridley (So. - Dickinson, N.D.) tied for second on the vault with a 9.475.
