(blugolds.com) — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's tennis team swept a pair of duals on Friday, defeating St. Scholastica 6-3 and UW-Superior 6-3 at Duluth Indoor Sports Center. The two victories give the Blugolds plenty of momentum heading into Saturday's season finale.
UW-Eau Claire won two doubles matches and four singles matches against St. Scholastica. The Blugolds followed by sweeping the doubles matches against UW-Superior while also picking up three singles wins.
Otto Schluter (Jr. - Henfield, England) went unbeaten across two singles matches in the No. 4 flight, winning 7-5, 6-2 and 6-3, 6-3. The doubles team of
Demetri Bush (Sr. - Edina, Minn./Duluth Marshall) and
Hunter Roseth (Jr. - Lakeville, Minn./South) won both of its matches at No. 1 doubles, and
Andrew Mueller (Jr. - Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial) and
Ethan Wurtzel (Sr. - Menomonie, Wis.) did the same at No. 3 doubles.
The Blugolds will wrap up their season with a dual at Carleton College on Saturday, April 27. Match time is 3 p.m.
