COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. (
www.blugolds.com) – The National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) held the 2024 NCGA National Championships on Saturday on the campus of Ursinus College. Four Blugolds competed in their respective events as
Harriet Toth (Jr. – Regina, Saskatchewan/Martin) earned All-American status with her top-10 finish and
Meghan Dahlin (Fr. – Holly, Mich.) recorded the second highest score on the beam in program history.
Harriet Toth was named an All-American for the second straight year with her third highest all-around score of the season at 37.800. A fifth-place finish in the all-around competition with nine other athletes was put together with a 9.500 on the vault (38
th), a 9.400 on the bars (t-34
th), a 9.600 on the beam (t-29
th), and a 9.300 during her floor exercise (t-45
th). In her first National Championship meet,
Meghan Dahlin made history for the Blugolds with her career high 9.775 and a 9
th place finish out of 52 competitors. Dahlin's season best also ranks as the second highest score on the beam in Blugold Gymnastics history.
Other Blugolds competing at the NCGA National meet included
Tia Ravara (Sr. – San Leandro, Calif./Bishop O'Dowd) and
Andrea O'Connell (Jr. – Blue Mounds, Wis./Mount Horeb). Ravara finished 33
rd overall on the bars with a 9.450 and O'Connell finished tied for 45
th with a 9.300.
The Blugolds finished the season with a record of 3-2 in duals and took a major step in the right direction with multiple program records set, including the team score record of 190.550 on February 25
th at Northern Illinois University. UWEC currently has no seniors graduating and will look to return everyone on roster for next season.
