ORLANDO, Fla. (blugolds.com) — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's tennis team dropped a dual to Luther 7-2 on Thursday at the USTA National Campus. The Blugolds won once in singles and once in doubles.
Ethan Wurtzel (Sr. - Menomonie, Wis.) was the Blugolds' lone victor in singles action. He defeated Eli Young 6-1, 6-3 at No. 5 singles.
Hunter Roseth (Jr. - Lakeville, Minn./South) and
Demetri Bush (Sr. - Edina, Minn./Duluth Marshall) won the No. 1 doubles match for UW-Eau Claire, prevailing 8-6.
The Blugolds will close out their spring trip with a dual against highly ranked Saint Leo University on Friday, March 22. Saint Leo is ranked No. 3 in Division II. Dual time is 3 p.m. Eastern.
