Men's cross country headed to nationals, Behr to represent UWEC women

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's cross country team on Sunday received an at-large berth to the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships. The Blugold men, ranked No. 22 in the latest USTFCCCA national coaches poll, will compete as a team at nationals for the first time since 2021.

Keeley Behr (Jr. - Aurora, Ill./Metea Valley) earned an at-large berth as an individual for the women's championships. She will be competing at nationals for the third consecutive season but for the first time as an individual. She was part of the Blugolds' national qualifying teams in 2022 and 2023. She earned all-region honors at the NCAA North Regional on Saturday and was the Blugolds' top finisher in the race.

The NCAA Championships are set for Saturday, November 23, in Terre Haute, Indiana.

The Blugold men placed fifth at the NCAA North Regional on Saturday. Mason Shea (Sr. - River Falls, Wis.) earned All-America honors for the team last season when he finished 39th at the NCAA Championships. He will be the most experienced runner for the Blugolds when they hit the course next weekend, competing at his fourth consecutive national meet.

The UW-Eau Claire men placed 25th in their last trip to the NCAA Championships in 2021.

The championships begin on November 23 at 11 a.m. Eastern with the women's race, followed with the men's race at 12 p.m. Eastern.
