GRINNELL, IA. (blugolds.com) The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's tennis team traveled to Grinnell College to face the Pioneers. The Blugolds fell short, losing 2-7 against the regionally ranked Grinnell.

Results

The Blugolds John Foley (Jr.- Wayzata, MN) and Matt Gilbert (Sr.- Minneapolis, MN/Washburn) took the victory for #2 Doubles in a tiebreaker 8-6. Tyler Grosz (Jr.-Hudson, WI) and Hunter Roseth (Jr.-Lakeville, MN/South) stayed competitive forcing #3 Doubles to a tiebreak, but ultimately falling to the Pioneers. John Foley secured the #3 singles spot winning 7-5 and 6-4. 

UW-Eau Claire will host conference opponent UW-La Crosse Friday, April 22nd. First matches are set to begin at 3PM at the John and Fay Menard YMCA Tennis Center.
