NORMAL, Ill. (blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's tennis team traveled on Friday to St. Thomas University for a nonconference matchup against the Tommies. After dropping two of the three doubles matches, the Blugolds swept the individual matches for a 7-2 victory.
Results
John Foley (So. – Wayzata, MN) led the Blugolds with a three-game tiebreaker win at No. 6 singles and an 8-7 win at No. 2 doubles with teammate Matt Gilbert (Sr. – Minneapolis, MN/Washburn).
Grant Mauthe (Sr. – Neenah, WI) and Hunter Roseth (So. – Lakeville, MN/South) both earned dominate wins at No. 1 and No. 2 singles after dropping their doubles' matches.
The Blugolds will be back in action on Friday, April 9th when they travel to UW-La Crosse.
