OWATONNA, Minn. (blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's tennis team took on Augustana University (SD) in a non-conference matchup. After a slow start, the Blugolds would take down the Augies, 5-2.
Results
After dropping No. 1 doubles, John Foley (So.-Wayzata, MN) and Demetri Bush (So.-Edina, MN/Duluth Marshall) would claim the single point with a 6-1 win. The Blugolds would win by default at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles.
Hunter Roseth led the way at No. 2 singles with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Eden Mrozek (AUG). Foley picked up another point on the night with a comeback 2-6, 7-5, 6-4 win at No. 5 singles. RJ Griffiths (Fr.-Rogers, MN) also collected a comeback win at No. 4 singles, 3-6, 6-0, 6-4. UW-Eau Claire improves their team record to 5-1 on the year.
The Blugolds next match is set for Thursday, April 1st against Bethel University. First serve is scheduled for 5PM.
