ST. PETER, Minn. (blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's tennis team traveled to Gustavus Adolphus College on Saturday afternoon. After two dominant performances a week ago, the Blugolds won two matches in their first loss of the season, 7-2.

RJ Griffiths (Fr. - Rogers, MN) would earn a comeback win at No. 4 singles. Despite dropping the fist set, 2-6, Griffiths battled back and won the remaining two 6-0 and 6-3.
Grant Mauthe (Sr. - Neenah, WI) and Adam Burk (Sr. - Forest Lake, MN/Totino Grace) earned the other Blugold win, 8-6. In a close match against Oscar Wikstrom (GAC) and Caleb Fridinger (GAC), Mauthe and Burk are now 2-0 as a pairing this season.
The Blugolds will head back on the road on Thursday, March 20th when they travel to Madison, WI. They will play a neutral site match against Augustana (IL).
