Eau Claire, WI. (Blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin Eau Claire men's tennis team opened up their season with a huge win over St. Thomas (8-1) Friday at the YMCA Menard's Tennis Center.

The Blugolds went 6-0 in singles on the day and only dropped one double's match to the Tommies. 

Matt Christensen (So.—Rochester, MN/ Century) and doubles teammate Hunter Roseth (Fr.—Lakeville, MN/ South) went undefeated on the day in both doubles and singles.

The Blugolds are back in action next weekend as they host St. Scholastica, Bethel and Edgewood on Friday and Saturday at the YMCA Menard's Tennis Center.
