Longview, TX (Blugolds.com)- The University of Wisconsin Eau Claire men's tennis team rolled past LeTourneau University 8-1 this afternoon. The Blugolds now 2-1 on their spring break trip to Texas. 

Results:

The Blugolds started the day by sweeping all three doubles matches.  Michael Mauthe (Neenah, Wis.) and Andrew Dahl (Fort Atkinson,Wis.) defeated Grove/Farris (LU) 8-4 at number one doubles. Danny Schoen (Brookfield, Wis.) and doubles partner Renan Barros (Brazil) earned another victory at number two doubles, winning 8-5. Conrad Felten (Wausau, Wis.) and  Zach Janssen (Green Bay, Wis.) finished the doubles sweep with a convincing 8-2 win. 

With a 3-0 lead going into singles play the Blugolds continued to roll in singles action. Mauthe and Dahl earned victories with scores of 7-6, 6-4 and 6-3, 6-1, respectively. Janssen defeated Lopez (LU) 6-0,6-2 at the number four singles slot. Barros earned another win at number five singles, while Will Weyenberg (Neenah, Wis.) recorded a 6-2, 6-1 victory at the number six singles. 

The Blugolds continue their spring break matches tomorrow facing Centenary College and East Texas Baptist in Marshall, Texas.
