EAU CLAIRE Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire men's tennis team defeated St. Ambrose Friday night, and Augustana (Il)  Saturday afternoon at YMCA Tennis Center. The Blugolds defeated both teams 8-1.

On Friday night in the Blugolds 8-1 win over St. Ambrose, Will Weyenberg earned a 6-2,6-3 win at No. 2 singles. Andrew Dahl, Daniel Schoen, Conrad Felten, and Zach Janssen all earned singles sweeps 6-0 at the No. 3 through No. 6 slots respectively. In doubles action Michael Mauth /Dahl earned an 8-1 win at No.1 doubles, while Weyenberg/Schoen earned another win at the No. 2 doubles slot. Felten and Janssen completed the doubles sweep with and 8-2 win. 

Saturday the Blugolds defeated Augustana 8-1 for their second win of the weekend. The Blugolds dominated singles action winning all six matches. Mauthe and Dahl were defeated at No. 1 doubles, while the combo of Weyenberg/Schoen earned a tough 9-7 win at No. 2 doubles. Janssen/Felten won 8-3 at No. 3 doubles. 

The Blugolds, now 4-2 overall will host Bethel University (Minn.) at the Eau Claire YMCA on Feb. 24 at 6:00pm.
