Rock Island IL (Blugolds.com)- The UW-Eau Claire men's tennis team took down Augustana 7-2 on Friday afternoon. 

Results 

At number one doubles Kyle Hoffmann (Sr. Franklin, Wis.) and Michael Mauthe (Jr. Neenah, Wis.) won 8-3, and Jordan Stevens (Sr. Woodbury, Minn.) with partner Will Weyenberg (Jr. Neenah, Wis.) won at number three doubles 9-7. 

In singles action, Mauthe and Weyenberg tallied wins with scores of 6-2, 6-3 and 6-2, 6-1 respectively. Daniel Schoen (Fr. Brookfield, Wis.) defeated Carl Christensen (Augustana) in three sets, winning, 5-7, 6-2, 10-5 at number four singles. Andrew Rust (So. Golden Valley, Minn.) and Andrew Dahl (So. Fort Atkinson, Wis.) both recorded 6-4, 6-4 wins at number five and six singles.

The Blugold men improve to 16-5 on the season, they will travel to UW- Oshkosh next weekend.
