MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (Blugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire men's tennis team earned their third win of the weekend with a 6-3 win over Bethel. With wins over Northwestern and Lake Forest at home, the Blugolds traveled to Bethel looking to finish the weekend on a high note. 

Kyle Hoffmann (Jr. Franklin, Wis.) won at number one singles, defeating Matt Schull 7-5, 4-6, 10-8, while teammates Will Weyenberg (Neenah, Wis.) and Daniel Schoen (Brookfield, Wis.) also earning victories. Weyenberg defeated Jakob Bartels 6-0,6-3, and Schoen defeated Hunter Fernelius 3-6, 7-5, 10-7. The Blugolds also earned a win at number six singles with a Bethel forfeit. 

At number one doubles Hoffmann and teammate Michael Muathe (Neenah, Wis.) defeated Shull/Palmquist 8-1, while at number two doubles Weyenberg and Jordan Stevens (Woodbury,Minn.) won over Bartels/Lizotte 8-5.

The Blugolds return to action facing Macalester at home on February 26 and face Dubuque and Milwaukee School of Engineering on February 27.
