HILTON HEAD, South Carolina (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire men's tennis team returned to winning ways, defeating Buena Vista 9-0 on Tuesday.

At number one and two singles, Kyle Hoffmann (Jr. Franklin, Wis.) won 6-4, 6-4 while Will Weyenberg (So. Neenah, Wis.) earned a 6-1, 6-0 win. Andrew Rust (Fr. Golden Valley, Minn.) (#3) and Conrad Felten (So. Wausau, WI/East) (#5) both cruised to 6-0, 6-0 victories and Michael Mauthe (So. Neenah, Wis.) (#4) and Andrew Dahl (Fr. Fort Atkinson, Wis.) (#6) won by scores of 6-0, 6-1 and 6-4, 6-0, respectively.

In doubles action, Hoffmann and Jordon Stevens (Jr. Woodbury, Minn.) recorded an 8-3 win at number one doubles. The team of Rust and Dahl also earned an 8-3 victory with Mauthe and Weyenberg did not drop a game, winning 8-0.

The Blugolds will be back in action Thursday as they take on Carleton (MN) College at 12 p.m.
