EAU CLAIRE Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire men's tennis defeated St. Scholastica Friday night, 7-2 at the YMCA Tennis Center.

At number two singles, Will Weyenberg (So. Neenah, Wis.) defeated James Mack, 6-2, 6-1, while Michael Mauthe (So. Neenah, Wis.) won 6-3, 6-0 at number four singles, defeating Mike Fontana.

At number five singles, Conrad Felten (So. Wausau, Wis.) defeated Tyler Bates 6-1, 6-0 and Andrew Dahl (Fr. Fort Atkinson, Wis.) beat Cody Mauston at number six singles, 6-0, 6-4.

In doubles action, Hoffmann and Dahl defeated Gosz and Gilman 8-3 at number one while Weyenberg and Rust beat Brice and Vande Zande 8-1 at number two.

The Blugolds swept the Saints in doubles, with Kyle Hoffmann (Jr. Franklin, Wis.) Dahl defeating Josh Stainer and Mack in number one doubles, 8-4.

Andrew Rust (Fr. Golden Valley, Minn.) and Weyenberg defeated Logan Engelstad and Fontana at number two, 8-2 while the number three team of Jordon Stevens (Jr. Woodbury, Minn.) and Mauthe finished the sweep defeating Bates and Mauston, 8-2.

The Blugolds will host Carthage Saturday at noon at the Eau Claire YMCA tennis center.
