Biography

Adolph "Ade" Olson was inducted into the Blugold Hall of Fame in 1973.

Olson was born February 7, 1905 in Eau Claire but was raised in Mondovi where he was graduated from high school in 1923. While Ade was a junior in high school, Mondovi played Eau Claire Senior High in football and lost 52-3. But the three Mondovi points resulted from a 52-yard drop kick by Ade. He attended Eau Claire Normal School and received a three-year diploma in 1926. He participated in football, basketball and baseball for three years and was football captain in 1925. Ade received recognition as the outstanding athlete as well as being honored as an outstanding student upon his graduation.
