EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Athletics Department has partnered with The Brewing Projekt to bring Blugold fans a brand-new beer to celebrate homecoming week, Blugold Light.

The light and refreshing golden lager was made in partnership with Blugold alum, William Glass '11, and his team at the locally owned brewery in Eau Claire, Wis. 

"We are incredibly grateful to William Glass and his team at The Brewing Projekt for partnering with Blugold Athletics to create Blugold Light," said UW-Eau Claire Associate Athletics Director Robin Baker. "We are excited to give our fans and the entire Blugold community an opportunity to enjoy this unique collaboration responsibly. Most importantly, the funds generated through Blugold Light will help support our teams' operating expenses and our continued commitment to providing a first-class experience for our student-athletes."

The newest beverage in the Chippewa Valley will debut during Homecoming Week at The Brewing Projekt and at Carson Park during the football tailgate on Saturday, October 3. Blugold Light will be available at all UWEC sporting events where alcohol sales are permitted and local vendors throughout the Chippewa Valley soon.
