EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (
www.blugolds.com) — The University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire women's tennis team was back in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) play on Saturday as they traveled to UW-River Falls. The Blugold held yet another dominate performance, defeating the Falcons 6-1 on the road.
The Blugolds secured their first team point with a 2-1 doubles advantage over the Falcons.
Beatriz Felchak and
Delaney Hanson won the No. 2 doubles bout 6-2, while
Brooke Boland and
Kiera Schmid won 6-3 at No. 3 doubles.
The Blugolds captured five victories in singles play.
Reese Keller and
Brooke Boland won at No. 3 and No. 6 singles, respectively, as the pair surrendered a combined 3 games to their 24 won.
Aubrey Wittwer continued her WIAC momentum with a win at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 6-0.
Beatriz Felchak was victorious at No. 2 singles, 6-4, 6-2, and
Delaney Hanson captured another WIAC win at No. 5 singles, 6-0, 6-3.
The Blugolds (4-0, WIAC 2-0) will be back on the road on Saturday, September 19 when they travel for more WIAC competition. First serve against UW-Whitewater is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
