EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – UW-Eau Claire Athletics has announced the hiring of Bryce Pelky as its Assistant Sports Information Director. Pelky begins his first season with the Blugolds during the 2026-27 academic year.
Pelky joins UW-Eau Claire after serving as an Athletic Communications Assistant at Winona State University during the 2025-26 academic year. While with the Warriors, he worked with all 15 varsity sports and served as the primary media contact for football, men's basketball and baseball. His responsibilities included writing game recaps and feature stories, managing statistics, coordinating media relations, producing digital content and assisting with the promotion of Warrior Athletics.
In his role at UW-Eau Claire, Pelky will assist with the department's athletic communications efforts, including media relations, marketing initiatives, and the maintenance of the Blugolds' athletics website. He will also help promote the department's 25 varsity programs through storytelling, social media, statistics and game-day communications.
Prior to his time at Winona State, Pelky spent three years as a student assistant in the Media Relations Office at UW-La Crosse from 2022-25. During his time with the Eagles, he managed live statistics for numerous home athletic events, created digital and social media content, and supported the department's communications efforts across multiple sports.
A native of Plover, Wis., Pelky earned his bachelor's degree in Sport Management with a minor in Business Administration from UW-La Crosse in the spring of 2025. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in Sport Leadership at Winona State University.
