EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – UW-Eau Claire Athletics has announced the addition of Lexi Hastings as an assistant coach for the Blugold women's tennis program.

A 2019 graduate of Menomonie High School, Hastings brings extensive playing, coaching and tennis instruction experience to Eau Claire. As a senior at Menomonie, she finished among the top eight in doubles at the WIAA State Championships.

Hastings continued her playing career at Luther College, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Global Health. She was an All-Conference selection in doubles in each of her four seasons, becoming just the fourth four-time All-Conference doubles honoree in Luther history. Hastings was also a member of four conference championship teams and three NCAA Tournament qualifying teams during her collegiate career.

Following her graduation from Luther, Hastings returned to Menomonie High School as the head coach of the girls tennis team. She spent three seasons leading the program and coached five state qualifiers during her tenure.

In addition to her coaching experience, Hastings has worked as a tennis professional with Cliff Drysdale Tennis and the Fred Wells Tennis & Education Center. She has also spent six summers working with Tennis and Life Camps at Gustavus Adolphus College, serving as a supervisor for four of those summers.

Hastings' experience as a collegiate player, high school coach and tennis professional provides the Blugolds with a strong combination of competitive and instructional experience as she begins her coaching career at UW-Eau Claire.
