EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – UW-Eau Claire Athletics has announced the addition of Sebastian Lane as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the 2026-27 academic year.
Lane enters his first season with the Blugolds and will primarily work with gymnastics, women's basketball and baseball.
Lane earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Superior in 2023 before completing a Master of Science degree in Athletic Training from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2026.
While pursuing his graduate degree at UW-Madison, Lane gained extensive clinical experience through athletic training rotations with Wisconsin Football, Wisconsin Track & Field, UW Health and Edgewood University. He also assisted with medical coverage for Wisconsin women's hockey and major cross country events.
His clinical experience included injury evaluation, rehabilitation programming, emergency care and return-to-play management for collegiate student-athletes.
Prior to joining UW-Eau Claire Athletics, Lane served as a physical education teacher at Cathedral School in Superior, Wis., where he developed and implemented curriculum for students in grades K-8. He also coached junior varsity girls' soccer at Proctor High School in Proctor, Minnesota.
Lane is a Board of Certification (BOC) Certified Athletic Trainer and holds American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
Lane joins UW-Eau Claire athletic training staff dedicated to providing comprehensive medical care and support to Blugold student-athletes throughout the 2026-27 season.
