EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — With the conclusion of the 2025-26 sport season, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire placed 32nd overall out of 317 institutions in the Learfield Director's Cup. The 2025-26 season marks the 20th consecutive year Eau Claire has placed in the top-40 in the final standings.

The Learfield Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships. The competition highlights consistent success across an entire athletic department.

UW-Eau Claire tallied 545.25 total points with postseason performances from men's and women's cross country, men's soccer, volleyball, wrestling, and men's and women's track and field. Men's cross country recorded 47 points for the 27th place finish and the women gained 54 points for their 20th place finish at nationals. The men's soccer team captured 50 points with their 17th place overall finish. Blugold volleyball's trip to the elite eight earned them 73 points for their 5th place finish. The wrestling team scored 45 points with their 29th place finish at nationals. The women's track and field team tallied 50 points in the indoor season and 71.25 points during the outdoor season for their 24th and 7th place finishes, respectively. The men's track and field team garnered 80 points for their 4th place indoor season finish and 75 points for their 5th place finish at outdoor nationals.

The Blugolds were the second highest Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference school in the rankings, ahead of UW-Oshkosh at 37th and behind UW-La Crosse at 8th overall.
