EAU CLAIRE, Wis. - The UW-Eau Claire women's tennis team fell 5-0 to UW-La Crosse in WIAC Tournament play.

UW-Eau Claire dropped the doubles point, as UW-La Crosse secured wins across all three flights. Reese Burton and Beatriz Felchak fell 6-1 at No. 1 doubles, while Delaney Hanson and Kiera Schmid were defeated 6-2 at No. 2. Morgan Briggman and Stella Platt battled at No. 3 but came up short 6-4, giving UW-La Crosse a 1-0 lead heading into singles.

In singles play, the Blugolds were unable to gain ground as UW-La Crosse picked up wins at Nos. 2, 3, 4, and 6 to clinch the match. Felchak dropped a 6-3, 6-4 decision at No. 2, while Aubrey Wittwer fell 6-3, 6-2 at No. 3. Ana Paula Ricaurte was defeated 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4, and Briggman fell 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6. Matches at Nos. 1 and 5 were left unfinished after the team result was decided, resulting in a 5-0 final.
