MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (7-3, 5-1) decisively defeated Augsburg (0-10, 0-6) with a commanding 26–2 victory on Saturday at Edor Nelson Field. The team showcased a potent offense, scoring 11 goals in the first quarter and converting four player-up opportunities throughout the game.
The first quarter opened with UW-Eau Claire establishing control immediately, as
Grace Schmidt scored the first goal just 12 seconds into play. Schmidt further contributed by securing three draw controls early on, maintaining possession for her team.
Kenzie Phillips and
Emerson Mattox each added to the lead, with Mattox also assisting a goal by
Jess Stiller. Augsburg responded with a free position goal by Leila Klym at 12:38, but the Blugolds continued to dominate.
Reegan Werner scored twice, with one assisted by
Addison Moudry, and

UWEC dominated the third quarter, extending its lead significantly over Augsburg with a 7-0 run.
Jess Stiller opened the scoring with a player-up goal at 12:50 and followed with another goal at 9:55, assisted by
Paige Kiani.
Reegan Werner contributed with a goal and an assist, while
Paige Kiani and
Victoria Shea each found the back of the net twice. Augsburg struggled to maintain possession, with multiple turnovers, including a failed clear attempt at 8:55. The Blugolds capitalized on these opportunities, maintaining control and closing the quarter with a commanding 22–2 lead.
UWEC dominated the fourth quarter, extending its lead over Augsburg with a 4-0 scoring run.
