MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — D3football.com released its Team of the Week for games of Oct. 31-Nov.1, 2026, with Paxton Rothmeier representing UW-Eau Claire for the second time this season.

Rothmeier was in the driver's seat on Saturday with a historic performance during Eau Claire's 27-10 victory vs. UW-La Crosse. Rothmeier ran for 301 yards on 45 attempts, tallied 6.69 yards per carry, and extended his rushing touchdown streak to three games with a 77-yard touchdown run to put UWEC up 17-10 before halftime. With his day on Saturday, Rothmeier currently ranks fourth in Division III in yards per game and third in total rushing yards this season.

With Rothmeier's second award this season, it ties a program record of most Team of the Week honors by an individual in a single season after Austin Crow received the honor twice in 2001.

The Blugolds (5-2, WIAC 3-2) will hit the road on Saturday, November 7 for the "War on 94" rivalry game with UW-Stout. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Williams Stadium.
