MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) announced its Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week for Oct. 5-11, with UW-Eau Claire men's diver Tait Johnson earning Men's Diver of the Week honors. The selections were determined by a vote of WIAC head coaches and sports information directors.

Johnson led the Blugolds in the diving events during UW-Eau Claire's season-opening dual against UW-Oshkosh. He captured first place on the one-meter board with a score of 229.75 and added a second-place finish on the three-meter board with a score of 188.75. Johnson's performance helped the Blugolds open the season with a commanding 242-19 victory over the Titans.

This marks Johnson's second career WIAC Athlete of the Week honor, with his previous selection coming Jan. 26-Feb. 1 during the 2025-26 season.

The Blugolds return to action Saturday, Oct. 17, at the WIAC vs. MIAC meet at the Rochester Rec Center in Rochester, Minnesota.
