Both Blugold Swim and Dive Teams Defeat Warhawks

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's swim and dive secured a decisive victory over the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater on Monday, winning 15 of 16 events. This included standout performances from Kaden Zink in the 1000 Yard Freestyle and Tait Johnson in both the 1 mtr and 3 mtr diving events, earning him ncaa diving zone cut on 1M. The women's team won 193–106, with Erika Schroeder contributing significantly by participating in winning relays and securing first place in multiple events.

For the men, Evan Bushko excelled with a victory in the 50-yard freestyle, clocking in at 22.45, and contributed to the winning 200-yard freestyle relay team, which finished in 1:27.24. Jack Gunderson secured first place in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 58.37 and was part of the successful 200-yard medley relay team that claimed first with a time of 1:36.20. Derek Stadheim achieved wins in the 200-yard freestyle, finishing in 1:44.31, and in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:46.66. Winston Walkup captured victories in both the 100-yard backstroke at 54.91 and the 200-yard backstroke, clocking in at 2:00.32.

For the women, Erika Schroeder excelled in multiple events, winning the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:03.54 and contributing to the first-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay at 1:51.68. Anwen Smith also delivered a strong performance, capturing first in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:01.99 and the 100-yard freestyle in 55.16, while participating in the victorious 200-yard freestyle relay team that clocked in at 1:41.97. Amber Winter led the 100-yard breaststroke with a winning time of 1:09.21 and dominated the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:35.52, adding crucial points for her team.

UWEC Men's Team Summary
