EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire fell to UW-Stout 67-63 in a closely contested conference game at the Sonnentag Event Center. The Blugolds' offense was led by seven buckets from beyond the arc, contributing to their 63-point total. Despite holding a narrow lead on eight occasions, Eau Claire was unable to overcome Stout's advantage in points in the paint, which totaled 34.

The game commenced with the Blue Devils taking an early lead, driven by a jumper just 46 seconds in. UWEC responded with two free throws by Andre Renta to tie the game at 2-2. Stout contributed with both scoring and defensive plays, while a three-pointer extended their lead at the 16:27 mark. The Blugolds fought back, with Luke Reder hitting a three-pointer to narrow the deficit to 9-7. As the half closed, a jumper with 40 seconds left secured a 29-28 edge for the visitors heading into the break.

UW-Eau Claire and UW-Stout engaged in a competitive second half, with the Blue Devils securing a narrow 67-63 victory. Stout found their opportunities with multiple key baskets, including a three-pointer at the 6:39 mark to extend their lead. Eau Claire's Kenji Scales answered with a jumper to tie the game at 44, exceeding his season average with 11 total points. However, Stout maintained their edge with consistent free-throw shooting and timely defensive rebounds. Despite a late three-pointer by Will Boser of UW-Eau Claire, the Blue Devils' steady performance at the free-throw line and offensive rebounds  solidified their win.

This marked the second consecutive game where Lichtsinn recorded at least 13 total points. Scales added 11 points, converting all four free-throw attempts and recording four rebounds. Roan Demovsky contributed nine points and dished out three assists while securing a steal.
