MADISON, Wis. - The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has announced the Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week for the week of August 25-August 31. The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire volleyball team's Abby Stanwood has been named the volleyball offensive player of the week by anonymous vote of WIAC head coaches and Sports Information Directors.

Stanwood led the Blugolds to a 3-1 record to open the season at the Pikes Peak Challenge, hosted by Colorado College, with a team-high 52 kills. In three matches played, Stanwood averaged 4.73 kills per set in her 11 sets played. While hitting at a .327 percentage, she averaged 4.82 points per set and added 23 digs.
