Cross Country teams set schedule for 2025 seasons

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire cross country teams have announced their 2025 season schedule that includes two regular-season home races and the opportunity to host the NCAA North Regional race for the second time in three years.

The Blugolds will kick off their season with their annual Alumni Open held at the City Wells course on Saturday, September 6th. After a week off from competition, the teams will head to Northfield, Minn. for the St. Olaf Invitational hosted by St. Olaf College. The men's 8k is set to begin at 10 a.m. with the women to follow at 11 a.m.
 
With Homecoming Weekend set for the first weekend of October, the Blugolds will host the Blugold Invite on Friday the 3rd in Colfax, Wis. at Whitetail Golf Course. Race times for the men and women are set for 4:15 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. respectively. Later in the month, the Blugolds will travel south to Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill. for the Augustana Interregional Invitational at Saukie Golf Course on Saturday, October 18th. The men's 8k is scheduled for 11 a.m. and the women's 6k is set for 11:45 a.m.
 
The Blugolds' postseason begins on Saturday, November 1st with the WIAC Championships hosted by UW-Oshkosh. The conference championships are scheduled for 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. at the Moore's Field of Dreams in Oshkosh, Wis. The final race prep before NCAA postseason competition will be held in Decorah, Iowa as the Blugolds travel to the Luther Saga Cup on Friday, November 7th.
 
UW-Eau Claire will host the NCAA North Regional races on Saturday, November 15th at Whitetail Golf Course. The men's 8k begins at 12 p.m. with the women's race right after at 1 p.m. Following the regional race, the NCAA Championship will be held the following weekend on Saturday, November 22nd at the Roger Milliken Center in Spartanburg, S.C. Spalding University is set to host the national races beginning with the men's 8k at 11 a.m. ET and the women's 6k at 12 p.m. ET.
