MADISON, Wis. — Three members of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's lacrosse team earned All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) honors for the 2025 season.
Reegan Werner (Jr. - Farmington, Minn.) earned first team recognition, while
Ellie Fisher (So. - Stillwater, Minn.) and
Alexandria Shea (Sr. - Pleasant Prairie, Wis./Indian Trail) were named to the second team. Additionally,
Devon Crews (Jr. - St. Louis, Mo./Rockwood Summit) received an honorable mention.
Werner, a midfielder, put together one of the best seasons in program history. She set new Blugold records for single-season points (73), shots (106), ground balls (53) and caused turnovers (39). She scored 45 goals and passed 28 assists. The junior also set new program single-game records with nine goals and 12 points against Edgewood on March 7. She became UW-Eau Claire's all-time leader in career points this season, ending the campaign with 172 for her career.
This is Werner's second consecutive All-WIAC first team honor.
Fisher picked up all-conference honors for the first time off the back of a prolific season in the attack. She scored 40 goals and passed 15 assists to finish with 55 points — the fourth-best total ever by a Blugold in a single season. Her seven goals against Augustana (Ill.) on February 22 stand as the third-best single-game total in program history. Her five game-winning goals stand as a single-season record.
Fisher was also named to the WIAC All-Sportsmanship team.
Shea, a goalie, picked up All-WIAC second team honors for the second consecutive year. She set a new single-season record with 153 saves this year, tallying a .478 save percentage and 12.22 goals against average. She tied the program record with 17 saves against UW-La Crosse on April 23. Shea is UW-Eau Claire's all-time leader in every goaltending statistic, having served as a four-year starter in net.
Crews scored 33 goals and passed 17 assists for a total of 50 points this season. That was the third-best total on the team this year. Her nine free position goals are the second-most in a single season by a Blugold.
The Blugolds finished the season with an 11-7 record. They were the WIAC Tournament runner-up for the first time.
