PELLA, Iowa — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's tennis team blanked Central 7-0 on Saturday. The Blugolds won all nine matches to sweep away the Dutch.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Blugolds won all three doubles matches by four games or more. That included 6-1 victories at both No. 1 and No. 3.
- In singles play, UW-Eau Claire only dropped 11 games in total across six matches. The Blugolds won all six in straight sets.
- Samantha Fuchs (Sr. - DeForest, Wis.) won the No. 1 match 6-1, 6-0. Anna Lee (Jr. - Buffalo, Minn.) won by the same score at No. 2. Beatriz Felchak (Fr. - Curitiba, Brazil) won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3, Liv Herzog (Jr. - Owatonna, Minn.) won at No. 4, Aubrey Wittwer (Fr. - Delano, Minn.) prevailed at No. 5 and Morgan Dekan (Sr. - Altoona, Wis.) triumphed at No. 6.
