ORLANDO, Fla. — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's tennis team split two duals to wrap up its spring break trip on Wednesday. The Blugolds fell to unbeaten St. Lawrence 5-2 before bouncing back with a 5-2 win over Warner (Fla.).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Blugolds won once in doubles and twice in singles against St. Lawrence. Samantha Fuchs (Sr. - DeForest, Wis.) and Anna Lee (Jr. - Buffalo, Minn.) won the No. 1 doubles match 6-2. Beatriz Felchak (Fr. - Curitiba, Brazil) won the No. 5 match in a third-set tiebreak and Aubrey Wittwer (Fr. - Delano, Minn.) won at No. 6 singles.
- The Blugolds picked up three wins via forfeit against Warner.
- Felchak and Wittwer won at No. 2 and No. 4 singles against Warner, respectively.
- Morgan Dekan (Sr. - Altoona, Wis.) and Felchak won the No. 1 doubles match against the Royals 6-4. Fuchs and Lee won the No. 2 match 6-0.
