ROCHESTER, Minn. (blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's tennis traveled to Minnesota on Saturday for a neutral site match with No. 22 ranked Carleton College. The Blugolds came up short in the 7-0 defeat.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Anna Lee (Jr. - Buffalo, Minn.) and Samantha Fuchs (Sr. – DeForest, Wis.) grabbed an early lead in their opening set at No. 1 doubles but eventually fell, 6-2.
- In No. 2 singles play, Anna Lee came out with a 4-1 lead in the opening set but ultimately came up short in 6-4, 6-0.
- Morgan Dekan (Sr. – Altoona, Wis.) and Olivia Herzog (Jr. – Owatonna, Minn.) battled back to a two-game deficit in No. 2 doubles but were defeated 6-3.

The Blugolds will travel home and host UW-Superior on Sunday, February 23 at the John & Fay Menard YMCA Tennis Center at 2 p.m.
