La Crosse, Wis.— The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's swim & dive won their dual against UW-La Crosse Saturday afternoon 168-130. The women's team fell to the eagles in their dual 183.5-116.5.
Women's diving was outdone in both events.
Jordan Kuhn was the highest placed diver placing 5th in the 1 meter and 7th in the 3 meter.
Jessica Beguin was the next highest placing diver finishing in 10th in the 3 meter and 12th in ghe 1 meter
Men's diving had a strong showing in both their events.
Charlie Nohner placed 2nd in the 1 meter and placed 4th in the 3 meter.
Tait Johnson placed 3rd in the 1 meter and 1st in the 3 meter.
Women's swim had a competitive day in their events. The Blugolds placed 2nd in the 200 yard medley relay with a team of
Mehal Raghwani,
Amber Winter,
Faith Oswald, and
Grace Schnabl. The team placed well in the 1000 yard freestyle with
Molly Hosack placing 1st and
Amanda Hyland placing 2nd. The blugolds also got first place finishes from Erika Shroeder in the 100 yard backstroke,
Elaina Plonis in the 200 yard butterfly,
Anwen Smith in the 100 yard freestyle, and
Molly Hosack in the 500 yard freestyle,
Men's swim was very strong in their events. The team of
Henry Williams,
Jack Gunderson,
Emmett Botten , and
Drew Testin placed 1st in the 200 yard medley relay. The Blugolds also placed 1st in ghe 400 yard freestyle relay with a team of
Derek Stadheim,
Evan Bushko,
Jack Gunderson, and
Drew Testin. The Blugolds saw 1st place finishes in individual events from
Kaden Zink in the 1000 yard freestyle,
Derek Stadheim in the 200 yard freestyle, the 100 yard freestyle and the 500 yard freestyle,
Zhander Rowley in the 100 yard backstroke, and
Emmett Botten in the 200 yard butterfly and the 100 yard butterfly.
