Oshkosh, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's tennis team bounced back with a strong conference win against UW-Oshkosh. The Blugolds ended the day winning matches 5-2.
The morning began with Olivia Herzog and
Beatriz Felchak winning a very close No. 1 doubles match 7-6. Following match one, UW-Oshkosh countered well winning both other doubles matches 6-3 and 6-2.
The Blugolds bounced back strong in singles play.
Beatriz Felchak and
Reese Burton both won in dominant fashion winning both sets.
Aubrey Wittwer also had a strong match in No. 4 singles winning her sets 6-0 and 6-1.
Ana Paula Ricaurte won both sets 6-4, and 6-2.
Kiera Schmid finished things off with an extremely competitive, three set match, 7-6. 2-6, and 12-10.
The Blugolds will host UW-La Crosse next Friday, October 10th at 6:00 p.m. at the John and Fay Menard Tennis Center.
