Eau Claire, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's tennis team fell in conference play to UW-La Crosse. The Blugolds finished the night losing all 7 of their matches.
Singles play ended with the Blugolds losing all three matches. Olivia Herzog and
Beatriz Felchak went down 6-0, while
Morgan Briggman and
Stella Platt lost 6-1, and
Delaney Hanson and
Reese Burton fell 6-3.
The Blugolds also lost each other their doubles matches. Doubles play was highlighted by a tight match for Reese Burtan. Burton lost the first set 6-3, but bounced back with a solid 7-6 win in the second set. Ultimately, Burton fell in the third set.
The Blugolds will return to play, Saterday, October 25th in Madison, WI. with a tournament against other WIAC schools.
