Madison, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's tennis team had a solid showing in the Wisconsin Tennis Classic Invitational. The day was highlighted by three third place finishes and two consolation finishes.
Singles play began with wins from 
Aubrey Wittwer and Ana Ricaurte pushing them both to the championship side of the bracket. Both Wittwer and Ricaurte fell in the following round putting them in third place matches. Wittwer won her third place match 4-0, 4-0 and Ricaurte win her third place match 4-2, 4-0. 
Liv Herzog fell in her first match sending her to the consolation side of the bracket. Despite the early loss, Herzog won her next two, earning her the consolation championship (5th place).
Doubles play found similar success to singles play. Both pairs of Kiera Scmid & 
Delaney Hanson, and 
Stella Platt & 
Morgan Briggman won their first matches advancing them into the championship side of the bracket. Schmid & Hanson went on to win the third place match 7-6, while Platt & Briggman lost in the third place match. 
Beatriz Felchak and 
Reese Burton fell in their first match, but went on to win the consolation bracket winning their final match 6-2.
