SAINT PAUL, Minn. (blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's soccer was back on the road Saturday for a nonconference against St. Catherine University. A physical game between the Wildcats and Blugolds saw five yellow cards and 18 fouls. The UW-Eau Claire defense was busy all afternoon as St. Kate's recorded 21 total shots and 9 shots on goal. Eau Claire would surrendered one goal in each to fall 2-0 on the road.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Johanna Thompson (Fr. – Green Bay, Wis.) and Ava Glenn (Jr. – Montgomery, Ill.) were the lone Blugolds to find shots on goal during the 90 minutes of play.
- Allison Raasch (So. – Wausau, Wis.) and Paige Crawford (Jr. – Elk River, Minn.) led the Blugolds with a combined 171 minutes of playing time.
- Kennedy Boll (Sr. – Franklin, Wis.) stopped seven of the nine shots she in her second defeat of the season. Boll is now 2-2-0 on the year.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Blugolds (2-2-0) will be back on the road on Friday, September 13
th for their first game of the North Central Invitational in Naperville, Ill. Eau Claire will face off against Albion College at 1:30 p.m. at Benedetti-Wehrli Stadium.
