NAPERVILLE, Ill. (blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's soccer team concluded their time in Illinois on Saturday at the North Central Invitational. With a matchup against the host school, North Central College. Despite scoring twice in the first half, the Blugolds were kept off the board and conceded once to fall the Cardinals, 2-3.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Emma Donovan (Fr. – Hazel Green, Wis./Wahlert Catholic) found the game's first goal in the 5th minute to give Eau Claire the 1-0 lead. Sophie Hubbard (Sr. – De Pere, Wis.) earned the primary assists on Donovan's first collegiate goal as a Blugold.
- The UWEC lead was short lived as the Cardinals answered with a pair of goals in the 7th and 16th minute.
- Just before halftime, Elise Pinewski (Sr. – Anoka, Minn.) leveled the score at 2-2 with her first goal of the season.
- Kennedy Boll (Sr. – Franklin, Wis.) stopped 11 of the 14 shots she faced in the road loss. Boll is now 2-3-1 on the year.

The Blugolds (2-3-1) will return home for another nonconference game. UWEC will host Bethel University on Monday, September 16
th at Simpson Field. Kick off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
