NORTHFIELD, Minn. (blugolds.com) — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's tennis team wrapped up its season with a 6-3 loss at Carleton College on Saturday afternoon. The Blugolds won two doubles matches and one singles match during the dual.
Demetri Bush (Sr. - Edina, Minn./Duluth Marshall) and
Hunter Roseth (Jr. - Lakeville, Minn./South) won at No. 1 doubles, 8-6.
Andrew Mueller (Jr. - Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial) and
Ethan Wurtzel (Sr. - Menomonie, Wis.) won at No. 3 doubles by the same score.
Wurtzel picked up the Blugolds' sole singles victory, winning the No. 5 match 5-7, 7-6 (2), 10-4.
The Blugolds finished the season with a 6-13 record and went 2-1 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC). UW-Eau Claire ended the year winning three of its final five duals.
