GREENSBORO, N.C. (blugolds.com) — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed at Day 3 of the NCAA Division III Championships on Friday at Greensboro Aquatic Center.
Blake Wallen (Fr. - Savage, Minn./Prior Lake) competed on the diving board and
Ella Weaver (Sr. - McFarland, Wis.) swam for the Blugolds.
Wallen placed 21st in the men's one-meter diving competition. He scored a 404.85 to wrap up his meet individually. It improved upon a 22nd-place finish in the three-meter competition on Wednesday.
Weaver placed 27th in the women's 100-yard breaststroke on Friday. She clocked in at 1:04.59.
The Blugolds will wrap up their season with the final day of the meet on Saturday.
Molly Hosack (So. - Cedarburg, Wis.) will swim in the women's 1,650-yard freestyle, Weaver will hit the pool for the women's 200-yard breaststroke, and the women's 400-yard freestyle relay team of Weaver,
Sydney McGuine (Sr. - Huntley, Ill.),
Elaina Plonis (Jr. - Macomb, Mich./Eisenhower) and
Kiara Bissen (Jr. - Madison, Wis./Memorial) will compete.
The final day of competition begins with preliminaries at 10 a.m. Eastern and the finals slated for 6 p.m. Eastern.
