Why did you choose UW-Eau Claire?
"I chose Eau Claire because it felt like the closest thing to home. The environment Coach Englund and my teammates have created made that decision even easier. I knew I wanted to be a part of something much bigger than myself and I knew Eau Claire would be the perfect place for that. Aside from basketball, Eau Claire is such a beautiful campus and I thoroughly enjoy the education I am receiving."
How do you balance being a student-athlete?
"Balancing being a student and an athlete is definitely not for the weak of heart. A lot of time goes into being an athlete, but knowing when to draw that line and put the work into your classes is super important. Its all about time management and perseverance."
What moment in your athletic career at UW-Eau Claire are you most proud of?
"I think my proudest moment so far at UWEC was being named Rookie of the Year my freshman year. Im proud that all my work I put in last season was recognized."
What is your dream job?
"My dream job is to return to Mishicot and teach physical education. I would also love to become the head coach of the women's basketball team at Mishicot and create a dynasty."
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
"I would love to travel Europe and visit all of the historic places."
If you could spend the day with one professional athlete/celebrity, who would it be?
"I would love to spend the day with Jared McCain because its really cool to see someone my age thrive so much in their sport. I love the way he can be a pro athlete and still not afraid to be himself. He has a such a cool personality and deserves so much respect for how he handles life."
What advice do you have for current/incoming Blugold student-athletes?
"Take it one day at a time because the big picture can be overwhelming. Celebrate the small victories but continue to work toward a larger goal."
