MOORHEAD, Minn. —
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's hockey team fell to Concordia University-Moorhead on Friday night, with the Cobbers securing a 3-1 victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia took the lead in the first period, but Trenten Heyde (Jr. – Atlanta, Ga./Grayson) scored the Blugolds' lone goal on a power play with nearly six minutes elapsed in the third period to tie the game. Leo Bacallao (Jr. - Madison, Wis./Memorial) and Max Ruoho (Jr. - Madison, Wis./Memorial) assisted.
- The Cobbers scored the game-winning goal a few minutes later, and added an insurance goal late in the period.
- Max Gutjahr (Jr. - Appleton, Wis./Kimberly) made 22 saves in net.
- Danny Reis (Fr. – Waunakee, Wis.) pushed the offensive efforts with a team-high five shots.
UP NEXT
The Blugolds will play again next Saturday, November 16, at 7 p.m. in Minneapolis against Augsburg University.
