ROCHESTER, Minn. (blugolds.com) — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's tennis team dropped a dual 6-3 against Grinnell College on Saturday. The Blugolds won twice in singles and once in doubles against their 39th-ranked foe.

UW-Eau Claire was victorious at No. 2 and No. 4 singles. Samantha Fuchs (So. - DeForest, Wis.) won 7-5, 6-4 at No. 2, and Anna Lee (Fr. - Buffalo, Minn.) prevailed 7-6 (2), 4-6, 1-0 (4) at No. 4.

Sydney Presler (Sr. - Eau Claire, Wis./Altoona) and Morgan Dekan (So. - Altoona, Wis.) picked up the Blugolds' sole doubles victory in the No. 3 flight. They won 8-3.

The Blugolds took two singles matches to a decisive third-set tiebreak before ultimately falling.

The team is back in action on Saturday, March 18, with a home dual against Cardinal Stritch. It's scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. at the Menard YMCA Tennis Center.
