RACINE, Wis. (blugolds.com)-- The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's tennis team traveled to Carthage College for their first match of the spring season. The Blugolds dominated with a 8-1 win over the Firebirds. 

Results

Eau Claire won top to bottom in the singles matches against Carthage College. Clare Palen (Jr.-Rochester, MN) defeated Cathage's Apostoli in a close match  6-1, 1-6, 1-0(4). In the two singles spot Samantha Fuchs (So.-DeForest, WI) held off Cathage's Silva 6-4, 6-1. Palen and Fuchs shut out Manojlovic and Mendes 8-0 in a dominate one doubles match. Morgan Dekan (So.-Altoona, WI) and Sydney Presler (Sr.-Eau Claire, WI) defeated Weis and Sonnemaker in three doubles 8-2. 

The Blugolds will travel to Carleton College on Sunday, February 26th for a 1:00 pm match against the Knights.
