COLFAX, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's cross country team competed at the NCAA North Regional on Saturday, November 11^th. The Blugolds took 9^th out of 34 teams, scoring 292 points. UW-La Crosse won the meet with a team score of 33.

Mason Shea (Sr. – River Falls, Wis.) was first in for the Blugolds, placing 15^th overall in a time of 24:47.7. Additionally, Shea was the only Blugold to earn All-Region honors by placing in the top 35. Next in was Jesse Peterson (Jr. – St. Paul, Minn.) placing 48^th in a time of 25:26.7.

Rounding out the Blugolds' top five was Ian Barnes (So. – Cary, Ill.) placing 69^th overall in a time of 25:43.0, Carl Lundgren (Jr. – Auburndale, Wis.) placing 77^th in a time of 25:53.0, and Eric Kordus (Sr. – Mosinee, Wis.) placing 83^rd in a time of 25:59.7.
Today's North Regional race determines who will move on to the National Championship Saturday, November 18^th in Newville, Pa.

The Blugold men will find out this Sunday whether they will move on to race at the NCAA Division III National Championship.
